Bio
For Sequo, that path began in 1993 under the strobe lights of London’s Ministry of Sound. Witnessing a masterclass set by Tony Humphries, he was captivated by the “journey”—the unique ability of a DJ to guide a dance floor through peaks of energy and valleys of emotion. That night sparked a lifelong obsession, leading Sequo to the decks of small clubs and parties for years, honing an instinctive understanding of what moves a crowd.
In 2018, the focus shifted. After years of selection, Sequo stepped into the studio to begin the transition from DJ to producer. While the initial complexity of the DAW proved daunting, it was his persistence that defined the next chapter. By stripping back the noise and focusing on the core of the craft, he moved from “loops” to “landscapes.”
Guided by the emotional clarity of artists like Luttrell, Cri, and Rezident, Sequo’s sound is rooted in the power of the chord progression. He views music as a vehicle for feeling rather than a display of complexity. His creative philosophy is one of constant evolution; by collaborating with progressive house stalwarts like Dowden, he has refined a signature sound that balances technical precision with raw, euphoric melody.
For Sequo, every track is a step toward a deeper creative convergence—music designed not just for the peak hours of a set, but for the lasting connection that remains after the lights go down.
