12.24

Bio

Rooted in the atmospheric landscapes of the Netherlands, 12.24 is the creative outlet for a producer whose career spans nearly two decades of electronic evolution. With a philosophy built on stylistic fluidity and communal growth, 12.24 bridges the gap between the euphoric energy of the club and the quiet introspection of the studio.

The South: A Sonic Homecoming

The latest milestone for 12.24 is the release of “The South” on 989 Records. More than just a club track, “The South” serves as a musical homage to the artist’s upbringing in a small village in the south of Holland. Inspired by the sprawling, beautiful landscapes of his youth, the track translates the serenity of his surroundings into a sophisticated electronic arrangement. Released on 989 Records, the track highlights the project’s ability to merge regional identity with a global dancefloor appeal.

Artistic Evolution & Philosophy

The journey of 12.24 began in 2008, emerging from a deep-seated foundation in trance music. However, as a full-time DJ since 2005, the artist has spent years witnessing the shifting tides of the dance floor. This longevity allowed for a natural transition into the darker, more rhythmic territories of Progressive House and Techno.

12.24 is defined by a unique “blended” approach to production:

• Genre Fluidity: “I produce in many different styles,” the artist notes, “but the funny thing is that I blend those different sounds across different genres.”

• Collaborative Spirit: Operating under the belief that “no matter how good you are, the help of others is super valuable,” 12.24 prioritizes the mentorship and support of fellow producers, viewing the struggle and success of the artistic process as a shared experience.
